SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

What you can expect from this role:
We are developing novel hearing and vision diagnostics and screening systems using electroencephalography (EEG) and brain-computer interfaces. Your expertise is needed to turn these systems into medical products ready to be certified and sold. As part of our small team, you will have plenty of opportunity to shape our products and your skills with varied responsibilities:
● Design and develop software in accordance with international standards for medical devices.
● Work with our R&D engineers to turn their prototypes into fully-fledged systems
● Work with stakeholders to validate our system’s design
● Work throughout all parts of our system, ranging all the way from the user interface and data analysis pipelines to integration with EEG devices.
● Quality assurance (e.g. software testing)
● Documentation of software and processes
Where you will work:
The job can be mostly performed remotely. However, we meet at the office at least once a week. The office is located in Ede, Netherlands, and is also where we regularly test participants using our systems. Our growing team currently consists of 10 international R&D- and software engineers who are highly enthusiastic and committed professionals.
Qualifications and Skills:
Masters Degree in numeric discipline — such as Computing Science, Artificial Intelligence, Neuroscience or Electrical Engineering
Strong programming skills, including at least a good knowledge of Python and the ability to pick up new technologies.
Demonstrable experience working on large scale software projects
Experience in signal processing and machine-learning
Experience developing user interfaces (desktop, mobile or web) is a bonus
Ability to join team during the week at Company offices in Ede, Netherlands
Experience in basic neuroscience and/or EEG analysis is a bonus
Experience in vision or hearing, or with medical products, is a bonus
Willingness to work on all aspects of the system design
English language required
